1 Hotel and Homes is a modern condo-hotel stretching along the beautiful beachfront. The development was completed in 2015 by LeFrak and Starwood Capital in collaboration with Kobi Karp and architects from HKK Inc., who took credit for its luxurious and curious design. 1 Hotel and Homes accommodates both hotel rooms and 156 private condos over 23 stories of the building. The size of the condos varies from one-bedroom units with an area of 866 square feet to 3,278 square feet four-bedroom rooftop penthouses. Private apartments have a private entrance attended by a concierge, and boast custom kitchens designed by Debora Aguiar which feature modern appliances by Sub-Zero and Bosch and fixtures by Grohe, a smart climate control system, porcelain floors by Portobello, and expansive private balconies revealing scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the city skyline. In addition, the condo hotel is pending approval for the LEED certification, an independent third-party verification reaffirming that a building, home, or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at achieving high performance in key areas of human and environmental health.
